+ Replace	Install new; tear-out (if any) is a separate − line.	Common mistake: using + when the same line should also carry the removal (&).
− Remove	Tear out and dispose; nothing back on this line.
& Remove & replace	Tear-out AND new install in one line.	Common mistake: & on undamaged items that only need detach & reset (R).
R Detach & reset	Take the SAME undamaged item down and re-hang / re-set it.	Cabinets, fixtures, and appliances moved for access are R, not &.
F Repair	Repair in place — custom-priced.	Document the method; F has no book price.
M Material only	Material with no labor.
I Install only	Labor to install owner-supplied / existing material.
